A Night Of Photographic Art, Celebratory Sounds And Burlesque Beauty

On Thursday July 26th 2012, at Busby's East in Los Angeles, CA, a sparkly, sexy troupe of Burlesque Dancers held a party to launch the book It's All That Glitters.

 

The night, presented by BCJ Media, Victory Variety Hour and Monday Night Tease! was the official launch of Brian C. Janes' photographic book It's All That Glitters: Portraits of Burlesque Performers In Their Homes.

 

For the book, BCJ traveled over 14,000 miles across the US to photograph burlesque performers in their homes and ask them one question: “What does burlesque mean to you?” The event, It’s All That Glitters: Book Launch And Burlesque Extravaganza, was a celebration of that journey, those dancers and the book. Featuring a gallery show displaying photos from the book, a burlesque show featuring performers from the book, and a group book-signing with the author and performers, this was a book launch quite unlike any other.
